Hey there, folks! I'm Gary Bryant, and let me tell you how Elora Tours all started back in 1974. You see, after traveling around Europe for a few months, I returned home to Elora with a spark of inspiration. I realized that our breathtaking scenery with its famous Grand River Gorge and the rich history of our little corner of Ontario could be a huge draw for tourists.
In that same year, something magical happened in our community. The Elora Community Theatre staged a play called "Tales of Elora." This play, based on local history from "The Early History of Elora and Vicinity" by John Connon, was a hit! It got everyone buzzing about our town's fascinating past, including me. I was thrilled to be one of the locals who got to act in the play.
Come November and December, I put on a different hat, or should I say a top hat? That's right, I transform into none other than Charles Dickens himself! I love performing an edited version of "A Christmas Carol" for seniors' clubs and residences. It's about 45 minutes of pure holiday cheer and heartwarming storytelling.
There you have it. That's a little peek into how Elora Tours came to be, straight from the heart of yours truly. So, are you ready to have your group or club embark on an Elora and Fergus adventure? Book now and make memories with Elora Tours.
